A Sad Day for Democracy
06.06.05 (1:53 pm)   [edit]

In a time where judges now legislate from the bench, instead of intrepreting laws, comes another outrage as a Superior Court judge upheld Wahington's fraud-filled election, saying, well, screw you all. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0" title="http://www.foxnews.com/story/0" target="_blank"http://www.foxnews.com/story/...,2933,158714,00.html
He acknowledged that there was fraud, that there was 1,400 felons that voted illegally, 19 people who shouldn't have voted because they were dead, six voted twice, and hundreds of provisional ballots were counted without verifying voters registration, but did nothing about it. He could have had those thrown out. Whether that actually will change the outcome is beyond me.

This has been a travisty in democracy, and I fear that this sets a precident that you can commit fraud and get away with it.
